Meet Shara and Amelia.
These two have been together for seven years and met back in college when they both went to the University of Maryland (Go terps!!) and worked at the challenge course on campus. Not everyone can pull off the whole “I’m wearing a harness and am 20 feet off the ground but damn, I look good” look, but I’m pretty sure these two did. Through graduate school and medical school, Amelia and Shara continued to find strength and comfort in one another. Amelia asked Shara to marry her, and the rest they say is history.
My favorite. Love the lushness of their surroundings…a little getaway in the middle of a hectic day.
Hello handsome brother and legs forever sister.See that pen? That is one of the ones Governor Martin O’Malley used to sign the legislation into law that allowed Shara and Amelia to get married in the state of Maryland. Legally married with all the rights and privileges that entails. The moment was not lost on any of us in the room. Love that they held hands while they signed their marriage document.
