I’m going to just cut to the chase. If Rachel and I got married today, this is how it would be done. We would travel to a new town, find an officiant, a photographer, pick some flowers and exchange our vows. There would be no guest lists, menus to plan, or seating assignments. If you’re not careful, it can quickly become a big show and all that really matters is the love you share.
Caitlin and Andrew had an idea of what they wanted, but that’s it…just an idea and feeling of what the day would be! They met us and the amazing officiant Christina Rodriguez in a small garden in Colonial Williamsburg. After a quick look around, we strolled to a backyard with a beautiful brick path surrounded by a white picket fence right off the historic Duke of Gloucester Street.
The most amazing thing was the weather. The entire week it had been raining (storming really) and this day was no exception…except during the wedding. As soon as Christina started the ceremony, the clouds parted and the sun came shining through. Forget the pictures, this day is one you will never forget.
A genuine thank you to Caitlin and Andrew for including us in such a significant part of your lives.
